A commissioned artwork makes a great gift for yourself or as a gift for a significant occasion for that special person.
A commissioned painting is more than just a picture. The whole process is exciting for you, the customer, from the initial consultation, to us bouncing ideas, to receiving emails showing the painting as it progresses* and then the ultimate excitement of revealing the finished painting in all it's glory. You can also purchase a voucher for a commission for a friend, so that the recipient can share the excitement.
*My customers tell me how much they eagerly wait in anticipation of the next instalment.
I see it as my responsibility to exceed your expectations and if you are not at least 100% satisfied then you return the painting and pay nothing.

A commission is not as expensive as you might think. Typically £495 for a high quality oil painting 24” x 18” (Prices are propotional to size and complexity.)

We met with Andrew at the beginning of the process and spoke in detail about what we would like. We were commissioning a painting of his 6 grandchildren set in his favourite local place to walk, where he spends a great deal of time. We discussed the brief and went away with the job of providing some photos of the children and location. This was just 3 and half weeks before the big day. Andrew did say with this short time frame he couldn’t guarantee it would be finished. We sent him all the photos the next day and he got started. The whole process was brilliant. Andrew kept up contact at every stage of the production and emailed progress so we could see the painting taking shape. It was so exciting to see it all happen and also gave us the opportunity to discuss any areas we wanted tweaking. The weekend before our dad’s birthday we got an email to say it was ready and we arranged a time to go and view it before the final varnish was put on. It was so fantastic and everything we had asked for. Our dad was totally bowled over and our own commissioned oil painting takes pride of place in our parent’s house.
